Granada (2 days)

The tour passes Alicante and Murcia. With tremendous changing views, including at 1,000m above sea level the glorious Sierra Nevada - Spain's Alps. At the foot of the Sierra Vevada lies Granada - the final Arab stronghold in Spain. View the athedrals, palace, fantastic gardens and the tomb of Ferdinand and Isabel.


The Caves at Canelobre and the Palmeral at Elche

A trip through the absorbing and alternating countryside inland from Alicante. Turning in at the village of El Campello the motorway reaches toward the mountains where lie the grott of Canelobree. These are easily-accessible, walk-in caves. The greatest of them resembles in size and awe-inspring beauty a great gothic cathedral.

After the caves, the tour continues to the amazing Palmeral at Elche.


Valencia

The capital of the Valencian community lies a short hop north on the motorway. The fertile soil provides beautiful scenery for the journey.

At the city, enjoy the history and magnificence of the townhall, plaza and cathedral. Being Spain's third largest city, Valencia has plety to offer everyone - shopping, gastronomie, history, art... the list goes on...


Costa Blanca's Northern Coast

A sightseeing trip around the northern part of the Costa Blanca. The trip offers much from the view at Cap de Nou all the way out to Ibiza and Mallorca to the antique and craft shops of Gata de Gorgos - wher the most intricate carving sit alongside truly magnificent handmade furniture.


Thursday Trip to Villajoyosa Villajoyosa

All villages in Spain have a weekly market. Here locals and tourists meet in the a hundred yesr old ritual. Food, farm produce, fancy goods, electrical goods... the perfect present for the folks back home is sure to be found. And not least is the chance to take part in local discussions or hear the latest gossip in the neighbourhood. Pick up a bargain, barter in the old way and enjoy a relaxing shopping trip the old fashioned way!


The Jalon Valley

The trip heads northwards along coast beyond Calpe and into the Jalon valley, Costa Blancas wine valley. Note also that Saturday is it also loval market day here with all the bodegas open for tasting the local brews. Sample wine and may buy by the bottle or the case.

Afterwards we head into the mountains above and behind the valley to the pass of Col de Rates, from where we enjoy a fantastic a vista.

The return trip passes viat the village of Tarbena and the ancient mountain church at the peak of Guadalest - for a good many a climax of the trip. Stroll gently amongst the stores, the historic building, the fabulous natural beauty and pick up a bargain - much local produce is to be had, fleeces, leather, wine, homey, pollen, fruits... as well as some fantastic little bars and restaurants


The Hot Srings at Archena

The tour heads out via the motorway past Alicante. We pass the palmeral at Elche, and the beautiful region of Murciaand the vats plains of fruit and crops. Man has cultivated this region since Roman times but the region has much more than splendid views to offer: Such as the hot springs at Archena. The health-giving, invigorating spa and pools sit around 33 degrees celsius lubricating and easing both body and mind. Towels and bathing caps are available.
